Mission Statement
The Italian Language Foundation is dedicated to promoting and sustaining Italian language education in the United States and supporting the College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) program in Italian Language and Culture. The Foundation is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation qualified by the Internal Revenue Service to receive tax deductible contributions.

Board of Directors
Margaret I. Cuomo, M.D. - President
Margaret I. Cuomo, M.D. is a member of the Committee to Establish the AP Program in Italian, Chair of Lago del Bosco, the Italian Language Village, and a member of the National Advisory Board of Concordia Language Villages. Dr. Cuomo is also a member of Princeton University's Advisory Council for the Department of French and Italian.

Louis Tallarini - Chairman
Mr. Tallarini is the President of Value Investors, Inc., a national real estate development and real estate finance company with diversified holdings in the commercial real estate and commercial real estate mortgage industries. Mr. Tallarini is the President and a member of the Board of Governors of the Columbus Citizens Foundation.

John Alati
Mr. Alati is a principal of LaGuardia & Associates Entertainment Inc. and past president and chairman of UNICO National.

Lawrence Auriana
Mr. Auriana is co-founder and Senior Portfolio Manager of the Federated Kaufmann Fund and chairman of the Board of Governors of the Columbus Citizens Foundation.

Hon. Richard Greco, Jr.
Secretary Greco is president of Filangieri Capital Partners in New York City and former Assistant Secretary of the Navy.

Hon. Eugene Nardelli
Judge Nardelli is Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, First Department, of the Supreme Court of the State of New York and past president and current member of the Columbus Citizens Foundation’s Board of Governors.

Kathleen Strozza
Ms. Strozza is president and past executive vice president of UNICO National.

Salvatore Zizza
Mr. Zizza is president of Zizza & Co. Ltd. and president of the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF).

Administration
Sabbia ( Sandy ) Auriti, Ph.D.
Professor Sabbia Auriti obtained her Ph.D. in Comparative Literatures with a specialization in Italian Contemporary Literature and Women Studies. She teaches at various institutions of higher education, including Hunter College and St. John's University, Queens Campus, where she is involved in the creation of a new Italian American Studies program. She has also worked in public relations and marketing for Italian companies operating in New York.

Professor Auriti is a Cavaliere del Lavoro.
