Non sono il tipo di persona che passa troppo tempo sui libri, soprattutto sui romanzi. A volte ne leggo qualcuno, ma solo quando non ho nulla da fare. Tuttavia, un giorno mi \u00e8 capitato di leggere un giallo che mi ha conquistato. Quel libro era scritto da Agatha Christie, ed era molto interessante. “Assassinio sull’Orient Express” era il nome del libro che ho letto. Da quel momento, i gialli hanno iniziato ad attirarmi, e da quel omento Agatha Christie \u00e8 diventata la mia scrittrice preferita. Lo \u00e8 diventata perch\u00e9 mi piace davvero il modo in cui scrive. Hazel Riley \u2013 An Italian saga<\/b><\/p>

My name is Maria Angela, I attend the fourth year at CIOFS-FP Lombardia. My favorite writer is Hazel Riley because I like her way of writing, the characters she creates and one of these characters represents me as a person. Hazel Riley (pseudonym of Maria Claudia) is an Italian writer of Sardinian origins, born in 1997. She has been writing for as long as she can remember and at the age of fifteen, she began publishing her stories on Wattpad. She graduated in Communication Studies and now she is studying Marketing. She continues to cultivate her passion for writing, and she reads many novels. She has written a saga that consists of 5 books and the first three were released in bookstores in 2023 and 2024: Game of Gods – Descent to the Underworld, Game of Titans – Rise from Heaven, and Game of Chaos – Redemption.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The setting is the school and Mount Olympus. The storyline is about 5 teenagers (Hades, Hermes, Apollo, Aphrodite and Athena) obsessed with Greek mythology, who every Friday play a game in which you participate by invitation. As a genre there is a dash of dark romance, fantasy romance and found family. The first two books tell the story of the main characters (Haven and Hades) and the last three are the spin-offs of the other characters.<\/span><\/p>

I arrived here about six months ago and don\u2019t have any hobbies yet, however I used to be interested in various sports such as football, swimming, and judo. The reason I am writing to you is the desire to improve my English skills.<\/span><\/p>

Literature is one of the most important things in the world. It helps us understand different cultures, emotions, and ideas. Even if we didn’t read any certain books, we can still appreciate their significance and role in our lives. Both American and Italian literature have many famous authors that write about various themes such as friendship, romance, history, and so on. Books increase our knowledge and present different points of view.<\/span><\/p>

In American literature, a well-known writer is Donna Tartt. One of her books, <\/span>The Goldfinch<\/span><\/i>, tells the story of a boy who loses his mother and goes through many challenges in life. Many readers say this book makes them think about loss and how people deal with different situations. Even without reading, it reflects the idea to never give up and make us known with situations that may happen in real life.<\/span><\/p>

In Italian literature, Elena Ferrante is a famous writer. Her series <\/span>My Brilliant Friend<\/span><\/i> focuses on two girls growing up in Naples and their lifelong friendship. This story is known for showing how people change over time and how our childhood affects us. Many readers like it because it talks about ambition, jealousy, and friendship.<\/span><\/p>

Even if I didn’t read these books, I really reckon that literature takes a big part in our lives. Even in America, Italy, or anywhere else, it opens us to the world from different points of view and develops a lot of various skills.<\/span><\/p>

Honestly, I don\u2019t know much about Italian literature, but I can name a few great poets from the past, for example: Giuseppe Ungaretti, Dante Alighieri, Giovanni Pascoli and Giacomo Leopardi. <\/span>However, I really like reading manga. This type of book is simplified, and I have a collection of different genres.<\/span><\/p>

When I was a child, I tried reading one of my sister\u2019s manga, and I was shocked. <\/span>It was easier for me to read a manga compared to a regular book because there are more drawings and fewer words (sometimes in Japanese).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

My first manga was <\/span>Fairy Tail<\/span><\/i> (written by Hiro Mashima). After reading the 13 volumes my sister had, I decided to buy the entire series, and today it is my favorite. <\/span>The story is about a girl who arrives in a city called Magnolia with a dream: to join one of the most important wizard guilds, <\/span>Fairy Tail<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>

Another type of manga I like to read is YAOI. <\/span>Yaoi is a genre that tells the story of two boys, where one is often shy and the other is a brave and extroverted. In the end, they usually get together. <\/span>One of my dreams is to have a giant library full of manga so I can read whenever I want<\/span><\/p>
