ALAN HARTMAN

Alan Hartman, Ph.D. is Associate Professor and Program Director of Modern Foreign Languages at Mercy College. Professor Hartman is also the Director of Latin American and Latino Studies and Fulbright Language Teaching Assistant Coordinator at Mercy College. He has a record of creating and directing new course and programs at Mercy College since his arrival at the institution in 2008, and has created coursework in Albanian, Arabic, French, Italian and Spanish. Alan Hartman is dedicated to the teaching of Italian and other modern languages and is always willing to accept new challenges.

JAMES GOETSCHIUS

James Goetschius is high school Co-Chair of The College Board’s AP Italian Exam Development Committee. Currently, Mr. Goetschius teaches Italian (all levels) at Northern Valley Old Tappan High School in New Jersey. Prior to that, he taught Italian levels I through AP Italian at Lenape High School for six years. Described as being caring, energetic, and passionate about Italian language and culture, James is an excellent collaborator, leader, and teammate.
